1. Definition of Service

Image Compressor is a free, browser-based image processing tool that allows users to:

• Compress and reduce image file sizes
• Resize images to custom dimensions
• Apply filters and effects to images
• View and manage image metadata (EXIF)
• Download single or bulk compressed images

All processing is performed locally in your web browser. We do not store, upload, or process your images on external servers.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (including images, text, graphics, and code) on Image Compressor for personal, non-commercial viewing only. This constitutes the grant of a license, not a transfer of title. Under this license, you may not:

• Modify or copy the materials
• Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
• Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the Application
• Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations
• Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Application

3. User Responsibilities

You agree that:

• Your use of the Application does not violate any laws or regulations
• You will not upload copyrighted material without permission (unless you own the rights)
• You will not upload images containing malware or harmful code
• You will not attempt to disrupt or overload the Application's services

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content: The Application, including its software code, design, layout, graphics, and documentation, is the intellectual property of the development team and affiliated institution. All rights are reserved unless otherwise noted.

Your Content: You retain full ownership and rights to any images you process. By using the Application, you do not grant us any rights to your images.

Open Source: Portions of this Application may use open-source libraries and frameworks. These are governed by their respective licenses.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Merchantability
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Accuracy or completeness of information
• Absence of viruses or other harmful code

We do not warrant that:

• The Application will operate without interruption or error
• Defects will be corrected
• The Application will be compatible with all browsers or devices

6. Limitation of Liability

Functionality may be limited on older browsers or devices with insufficient memory. We do not guarantee compatibility with all browsers or configurations.

8. File Size & Format Support

The Application supports common image formats including JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF. Compression effectiveness varies by format and content. Large files (over 100MB) may cause performance issues or memory limitations depending on your device.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Application to:

• Upload copyrighted images without authorization
• Process or store illegal content
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Application or its services
• Use the Application for commercial purposes without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
